    Part 1:

    • Welcome to the industry: This section explores the different job roles that are available within the industry.
    • Securing a position: Finding the right job: Knowing what and where to look is paramount to finding the job that is suited for you.
    • Securing a position: Writing a CV: A CV and cover letter can be the difference between getting an interview or being told that you haven’t been successful in your application.
    • Securing a position: Acing an interview: Once an interview has been secured, it is important to be able to showcase your skills effectively and shine! Interviewing tips are included in this section in the form of video clips.
    • Securing a position: Get recognised: This section covers the main aspects related to working in an employed or self-employed role. Aspects such as tax, national insurance, self-assessment (for self-employment), and insurance requirements are covered.
    • Securing a position: Next Steps: Continuing to thrive in the industry once a job has been secured is important.
  • Modules - Part 2

    Part 2:

    • First steps: This section looks at the type of clients that you may wish to work with, with tips on how to connect with your type of client.
    • Business setup: This section covers the administrative side of your business, including the legal structure, and financial management.
    • GDPR Unit 1: Awareness of Data Protection and GDPR: In this section, you will learn about the seven principles of GDPR, how to collect personal and sensitive data, and how to uphold confidentiality. Individual rights will also be covered.
    • GDPR Unit 2: Understanding procedures to maintain confidentiality and security: Unit 2 continues from GPDR part one. Storage and security organisation procedures will be looked at, along with common threats to systems and the consequences of not protecting data.
    • Business planning: This section will look at how you can start to plan for your business. Primary and secondary market research will be covered, including the use of a SWOT and PEST analysis to be able to effectively evaluate your competitors and your potential client base.
    • Product development: This section is all about creating the package for your potential clients, looking at the services that you can offer and how they can effectively be ‘packaged up’ to offer a service to the client that is value for money, as well as being time efficient and successful for you.
    • Marketing: There is no point in having a fantastic service to offer if nobody knows about it! How to market your services is an important part of starting any business. The marketing funnel will be covered in this section, and how to initially attract interest to you and your business, whether this is through online or offline marketing. Methods of how to market yourself will be covered, including social media and email.
    • Sales: Once you have an interest in you and your services, how do you get the prospect to sign up and become a client? This section will cover the sales funnel (similar to the marketing funnel) and how to convert an individual from a prospect to a paying client through the use of the principles of persuasion.
    • Running your Business: As your client base expands you need to develop systems and processes to enable things to run smoothly and for your business to grow sustainably. This final section provides the resources to help you do that.
