I believe in progress over perfection and aim to meet my clients in an authentic and honest place. It’s an important aspect of my teaching to remind my clients that they are always welcome on the mat just as they are. Because of this mantra, I have built a community of people from all walks of life who are feeling and seeing the benefits of Pilates every day in their bodies and minds.
You are more than capable, just be your own unique self and let your magic and skill attract your tribe.Mollie Hogben
As an ex-professional dancer/singer, Pilates was a big part of my training when I was younger. I always enjoyed it, but believed that to get the benefits of exercise, you’d have to be sweating buckets and doing hardcore cardio. I was so wrong!
A little while after graduating dance college and working professionally, I struggled with my mental health and eventually gave up performing all together. Pilates helped me through a tough time to stay present and grounded when things felt overwhelming. It helped me come back to myself when I felt so lost.
Pilates taught me that fitness shouldn’t be this gruelling, self-destructive chore… It can be mindful and strong, gentle and challenging and the best form of self-love you can show yourself. I knew straight away that I wanted to share that feeling with others.
I’d spoken to a few friends who had trained with Future Fit as Personal Trainers and Instructors, and once I looked up their Pilates Courses, it was a no brainer!
So far, I’ve qualified in Mat Based Pilates with CPD’s in Small Equipment and Pilates For Orthopaedic Conditions and am currently working towards my Pre and Post Natal certification. I absolutely love the practical workshops, I’m a hands-on learner, so I found the online learning quite challenging, but once I got into the thick of the practicals, it really helped connect the dots!
I’ve made some really great friends through these sessions, who I still keep in touch with now. It’s been great to get to know some like minded people in the industry! Thank you, Future Fit!
I’m most proud of the clients who come to my classes having never done Pilates before (sometimes having never even exercised before!), and week by week, I see them falling in love with movement and becoming a more confident version of themselves. It’s the best feeling knowing you’re having a positive impact on someone’s life. I’m proud of the inclusive brand I have created that celebrates every body and who they are.
Well I’m a vegetarian and absolutely adore Italian cuisine! So my go-to is always a simple creamy mushroom tagliatelle with lots of cheese, fresh basil and a little sprinkle of chilli flakes. Yum.
1) I think it’s important to create a good work/life balance from day 1 to stay present. Set yourself working hours so as soon as you shut your laptop, you can prioritise your downtime.
2) Don’t compare yourself to others – There’s a lot of people out there, especially on social media, who are doing similar stuff to you. Remind yourself everyone is on their own journey and doing their own thing, so find yours and do it your way!
3) You are more than capable, just be your own unique-self and let your magic and skill attract your tribe.
I’m proud to be part of Future Fit because I know I’m in safe hands; if I ever have a question or query, I know that there will always be one of the Future Fit team on the end of the line, ready and happy to help. Whenever I tell people that I qualified with Future Fit, they are always impressed. It’s such a well established provider that I’m confident I’ve had the best training possible to send me into the industry with a wealth of knowledge.
Australia! Before 2020 my partner and I had this big travel plan to visit Australia and New Zealand. He lived out there for a while, and it’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to go, but the world went into Lockdown, I started my training as a Pilates instructor and our plans changed. I wouldn’t change it for the world, though. The last 18 months have been a dream… and Australia will always be there!
