I originally decided to study nutrition as I wanted to lose weight and this then developed into wanting to learn how to eat healthily in order to restore my health following an operation.
I decided to study with Future Fit Training because their courses covered everything that I would need to know and it has been the best thing I have ever done, changing my eating habits for good. I now know that you do not need to try different diets and joining slimming clubs is not necessary.
The Nutrition and Weight Management course taught me to eat the correct foods and the correct portions. Once I started studying I did not want to stop and I went on to complete all of the courses and my Advanced Diploma in Nutrition and Weight Management.
Since completing my courses I have been able to help my whole family. I helped my eldest daughter lose weight after giving birth to twins and I regularly give her advice on healthy eating for her children. My son-in-law was training to run a half marathon for charity for the first time and I have been able to help him understand what and when to eat whilst training together with the benefits of doing so.
It has made me realise how many people do not understand what a healthy balanced diet is and I think everyone should do this course. At first I was a little apprehensive at the thought of e-learning as studying for me was going to college, reading books and taking notes but I was very surprised at how easy it all was. The e-learning was simple to understand and I could pick it up at whatever time of day suited me.
Going forward, I am now advising friends on making little changes in order to having healthier eating habits.
I have also just launched a Nutrition Club and have a small client base. It has given me such a flexible earning opportunity which I can work around my current part time job and I can still provide childcare for my grandchildren.
