Supporting Men Through Grief, Resilience, and Education
At Future Fit Training, we believe in the transformative power of education, especially when it strengthens communities to support one another through life’s most difficult challenges. That’s why we’re proud to partner with StrongMen, a UK charity dedicated to supporting men affected by bereavement.
Together, we’re helping break the silence around grief, combining lived experience with wellbeing-focused education to create real, lasting change.
Founded by Efrem Brynin following his own experience of devastating personal loss, StrongMen provides vital support to men coping with bereavement. From weekend retreats and peer networks to a 24/7 helpline, StrongMen offers a safe, empathetic space where men can share their stories and begin to rebuild.
Efrem’s own journey through grief, following the tragic loss of his son James in a friendly fire incident, inspired the foundation of the charity. That experience now fuels StrongMen’s mission: to ensure no man has to face loss alone.

Through this growing partnership, Future Fit Training is offering 30 StrongMen staff and volunteers free access to our Level 2 Understanding Mental Wellbeing course, part of our wider Health & Wellbeing suite of courses.
This initiative is supported in partnership with awarding organisation Active IQ, who are covering all registration and certification costs, ensuring learners can access professional development with no financial barriers.
Education is a force for change. Partnering with StrongMen and Active IQ to provide high-quality training at no cost is our way of investing in people who are already making a difference. These volunteers are inspiring, and it’s an honour to be able to support them in broadening their impact through fitness

For Efrem Brynin, this partnership is deeply personal. After losing his son, he faced the emotional fallout of grief with few places to turn. That experience led him to build a community where others wouldn’t have to go through the same pain alone and where the body and mind could be nurtured in tandem.
Our volunteers have first-hand experience of grief, and this programme allows them to channel that experience into something meaningful. Fitness has always been a key part of our support strategy, and this takes it to a whole new level.

This is just the beginning. As we work together to grow this partnership, our shared goal is to expand training access, champion community wellbeing, and help more men find strength after loss. We’re honoured to stand alongside StrongMen in their mission, and we look forward to sharing more stories of impact in the months and years ahead.
