"Health and fitness is a way of life, not just a much maligned trip to the gym 3 times a week to offset all the wrongdoings of the previous days. I try to instil this ethos in trainee instructors and encourage them to take a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. I also like to see people develop and grow."
"The best piece of advice I've received is to stop talking, thinking or dreaming about it and get on with it! If you don’t try it then you’ll never know!"
Simon has always been involved in sport and physical activity. Having graduated with a degree in Sport and Recreation it was an easy decision to make a career in the fitness industry. Simon continued to study and increased his knowledge initially through the American College of Sports Medicine and then through numerous other professional qualifications. He’s worked in various roles from a fitness instructor progressing to club general manager, working with many national operators as well as running his own PT and group exercise business.
Seeing the people that I teach grow and develop. I also used to do quite a lot of Schwinn Spinning – that was certainly an achievement!
The best books that I have ever read are by a sportsman who is not very popular anymore!
