What's Included

Practical Workshop

This is a one-day practical workshop run in nationwide locations following a national standard. This workshop will provide you with the knowledge to teach one of the most dynamic and exciting group exercise classes and advance your current level 2 Gym Instructor skillset.

Content

Offer a popular training style with group training and high-intensity interval training in the top 3 ACSM fitness trends for the past couple of years; indoor cycling classes are in high demand.

Assessment

You will be continuously assessed throughout the day, part of which will include a micro-teach session and evaluation guided by feedback from your tutor.

Why study this indoor cycling certification?

Studying this indoor cycling program will help you gain an in-depth understanding of leading group cycling classes. You will learn from experienced and certified cycling instructors through practical learning to help you gain the knowledge you need to run successful group cycling sessions.

Once you have qualified you will be able to run your own indoor cycling group sessions in a variety of different options. You can choose to work in private cycling studios, spas & health clubs or gyms, all of which you get to teach cycling classes in your own way.

The minimum qualification for studying a certification in indoor cycling is a Level 2 Gym Instructor Course, therefore often people choose to practice a course in spinning/cycling to widen their knowledge and increase earning potential.

Do you need a qualification to teach indoor cycling?
In order to complete this Indoor Cycling Course, all students will need to be qualified in a Level 2 Gym Instructing or Level 2 Exercise to Music qualification. All entrants must be 16+.

What is CIMSPA?
CIMSPA (the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity) is the professional organisation that provides development, leadership, support and empowerment for professionals working in sport and physical activity. Their goal is to create a standardised industry that everyone, from apprentices to CEOs, are confident in and proud to be part of. Some quick key facts are:
- Backed by Sport England and DCMS (Department for Culture, Media and Sport) to lead developments in the sports and physical activity sector's workforce.
- Set a rigorous system for standardising all sport and exercise professionals, assessments and awarding and validating qualifications.

What is CPD?
CPD = Continuing Professional Development To maintain REPs membership, members will need to earn 24 CPD points every 24 months. CIMSPA members require 10 points per year. Points can be gained through relevant qualifications, awards and courses. Is there a deadline to complete my training?
Once you have enrolled on one of our courses, you will find that each individual training module within your programme has a recommended time frame for completion. These time frames have been developed to encourage you to succeed and ensure you become qualified. The overall deadline to complete your course will be dependent on the courses you have purchased. Please refer to your enrolment form and the terms and conditions to see the relevant deadlines.
How long will the course take? How many hours should I study for per week?
The course length will be dependent on the time you are able to dedicate to your study. The more time available, the quicker you are likely to complete your course. Our courses have been designed to study both part-time and full-time for all of our students, therefore the best way to work out how much time you need to study is to work out how many hours a week you can dedicate.
