Rafael Braga Araujo, known in the capoeira community as Piolho, has dedicated more than twenty seven years to mastering and teaching this unique Brazilian art form that blends martial arts, dance, acrobatics and music. Based in Chester, he has travelled to over thirty five countries to teach, perform and share his knowledge, inspiring people from all backgrounds to move with confidence and creativity.
Capoeira has been at the centre of Rafael’s life since childhood, combining physical expression with cultural heritage and community. His dedication and love for the art have turned a lifelong practice into a career that celebrates both discipline and freedom. For Rafael, movement is more than training the body; it is a way to connect people through energy, rhythm and respect.
