  • I need to complete a Professional Discussion for my Strength and Conditioning qualification. What is this for?
The Level 4 Strength and Conditioning qualification requires learners to undertake a mandatory Professional Discussion (or VIVA) after passing their portfolio. This is where the learner and the Assessor hold a discussion to ascertain the understanding of the required subject. It is to show understanding of the Assessment Criteria and apply it to the work provided. This is in the format of a video call via Microsoft Teams, which will be recorded as part of our Awarding Organisation requirements and usually last up to a maximum of 30mins. To book this, you will be requested for a selection of dates and times by the Assessor, who will then send a Microsoft Teams invite to confirm the booking. Please note you will require to show photo ID so please ensure you have this to hand.
  • Can I use Future Fit branding on my business’s website/marketing material to show my qualifications gained?
We do not allow any Future Fit Group or Associate branding to be utilised on any other website or marketing material. We do however, offer our learners Badges as a Recognition of Training completed with us. These can be used on your own website website/marketing materials. To request one, please email support@futurefit.co.uk stating your name, along with the name of the qualification awarded, and we will email supply your badge within 7-10 working days.
  • How do I go about getting insurance after I’ve passed my Nutrition qualifications?
Balens (www.balens.co.uk) accept applications for insuring Level 3 and Level 4 learners with a certificate/qualification. Learners who complete the MCQ only to get to level 4 will not be able to get insured at Level 3 until they have completed Level 4 as they will not be gaining a Level 3 certificate. Please read our guide for further information.
  • How do I go about getting insurance after I’m qualified as a PT?
We have a fair bit of blog content on the website surrounding insurance and setting up a business, particularly for PT, which you can find here.
  • Can I request a reference from Future Fit for an employer?
As an private training provider, we cannot provide "normal" job references to any learners potential employers. Our training is based on independent led learning, so our learners are not allocated specific tutors during their training, they are given points of generic contact for assistance. We can only provide basic information, e.g. start date of training, study part/full time and what you purchased. We also require to have the permission from the learner directly if the request comes from an employer.
  • I want to play music during my Pilates classes. How do I go about getting this?
Group workshops advise learners to play licence-free music to avoid paying for a music licence. There are lots of options out there that learners can purchase and as anything Group based is just background music, this would be the easiest option. However, if the learner wanted to play licensed music (i.e music from original artists) then they have to purchase a licence.  When they search for music they can check if it's license-free or not. To purchase a music licence, go to https://pplprs.co.uk/themusiclicence/sectors/fitness-dance/.
  • What are CPD points?
Most of our courses are endorsed by CIMSPA and offer CPD points. These points can be used to maintain membership with CIMSPA to ensure learners are showing currency within the industry.
  • What is CPD?
CPD = Continuing Professional Development. To maintain CIMSPA membership, members require 10 points per year. Points can be gained through relevant qualifications, awards and courses. The great news is that many Future Fit Training modules will award you with these vital CIMSPA CPD points.
