I currently work full-time as a Fitness Instructor for a health club, which involves a bit of everything. Things such as reception work, pool operations, cleaning, day to day operations/admin to run the club.
This is definitely a start and not the end of the journey, as I want to be able to focus more on fitness only once possible.
Just do it. The fitness space is an amazing place to be. The strong sense of community and belonging has had a major positive impact on my mental health. There is always something new to learn and no day is the same.Dayana Wang
I have always had an interest in Fitness since I was a teenager; I have been training myself and finding new ways to move my body ever since. I was not always as confident as I am today with my training, and there were times when I fell into the trap of the media, which at the time was advertising smaller bodies on women. I have decided to stop shrinking myself for the benefit of others and regain my health back.
In 2016 I fell in love with weight training and its benefits. However, I was the only female in my gym who would step near the weights when I was in the gym, and I have decided to make it my mission to inspire more females to train without fear! In 2020, when I was ready, I enrolled with Future Fit to qualify as a L4 Personal Trainer and Nutrition Advisor.
I plan to work mostly with women in my local area as well as online and inspire them to train with equipment that they might find daunting and to help them gain knowledge and understanding on how easy it is to set up and use and make them gain the confidence they deserve. We deserve to feel confident to take up space in the gym, in the weights area and in the fitness space!
I am still studying with Future Fit for one more year. The things I like the most are the workshops I attend, the lovely tutors I have met along the way, and some students I have kept in touch with. This gives me a sense of belonging and community, the same feeling the gym offered me when I needed it most.
I am extremely proud of myself for studying on top of my full-time job! I never thought I’d say I’ll be able to do it, and I am sure many of the other Future Fit students feel the same way. But once you find your real passion, you realise things come out of pleasure and studying turns into something relaxing and researching turns into fun.
My favourite thing to cook is a vegan firecracker tofu dish similar to the one in Wagamama. It has a white rice base, three different coloured peppers, mangetout, and tofu stir-fried alongside a fiery homemade sauce with sugar, rice vinegar, gochujang, sesame oil, sesame seeds and a bit of soy sauce.

I am proud to be a Future Fit student because of the amount of time and being spent on us, the students. The course provides a lot of information compared to other providers out there, and the communication is great; whenever I have a query, the lovely staff are there to answer, be it a customer service advisor or tutor, someone always has the answer for me. The community on the Facebook groups is great as well.
