* Please note that the AfN certification scheme certifies courses, not the individuals who complete them and do not result in any AfN-recognised professional title. Completion of an AfN Certified Course does not enable registration with the AfN as a registered nutritionist.
You can ask any type of questions to our support team and get prompt replies
How recognised is this course?
The qualification you’ll receive at the end of your course will be awarded by several organisations. First of all, VTCT, which is a Government-approved awarding organisation that develops vocational systems of qualifications. Our courses are also fully certified by the AfN (Association for Nutrition).
The Association for Nutrition holds the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists, which is the only register of qualified nutritionists recognised by Public Health England, NHS Choices and NHS Careers.
How to Become a Nutritionist?
In order to become a Nutritionist, you will need a university degree accredited by the Association for Nutrition. Once completed, you will be eligible to join the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN). Through Future Fit's wide range of Nutrition courses, we aim to provide an alternative yet comprehensive path to becoming a Nutrition professional. For more information why not read our article on how to become a Nutritionist.
What is the price and how can I pay?
You can pay for your course or diploma in full, or choose from an affordable and flexible payment scheme to suit you.
You can pay a deposit of just £175 and then the balance; pay by monthly instalments or by company invoice. Future Fit Training acts as a credit intermediary and only offers credit products from Omni Capital. Credit is provided subject to age and status. Credit finance is an option but payment can also be made in full. Terms and conditions apply. Go to Funding your course for more information about payment options.
How much prior knowledge or experience do I need?
There are no formal or mandatory requirements, other than being at least 16 years old.
It would be beneficial if you had experience of weight management and nutrition by attending professional classes. If you don't have the experience, that's not a problem - you will just need to ensure that you give yourself more time to complete the home-study activities.
What can I do once I have completed a School of Nutrition Diploma?
You will be fully equipped to work as a nutrition and weight loss professional. These professional figures are highly sought after in the fitness and nutrition industry.
You can help individuals improve their diet and lose weight through one-to-one consultations or by running weight loss classes. Alternatively, you can use your nutrition skills in a range of job roles such as a community food support worker, dietetic assistant or health trainer.
What kind of support and resources do you provide for online programmes?
Our extensive Tutor Support team is on hand by phone, email and Facebook to answer any questions that students may have about their training to ensure they are always fully supported and on track.
