What To Expect
‘Your Future is Fit’ is a chance for athletes who are interested in a career in health and fitness to gain knowledge from industry experts and fellow athletes on what a career in the fitness industry could offer them.
The event will begin with a Switch the Play ‘Transferrable Skills’ masterclass. This session will focus on the skills that you already have as athletes and how these can be applied to your new career. Having a plan for your future and being able to identify and communicate your transferable skills is vital when seeking your next career.
You will then hear from Future Fit, CIMSPA and a fellow athlete, covering the below areas:
- Future Fit’s Head of Personal Training, Paul Swainson, who will take you through the life of a Personal Trainer, what to expect and how to make it a successful career.
- CIMSPA (The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity) will share their vision for the future of our sector
Dani Halsall is a former athlete who is now running a successful personal training business, after studying with Future Fit and will be sharing her story with you.
