Success Story - Nadine Haynes

"Make the most of the opportunity to study and gain this incredible knowledge. You will forever be an example to the world around you. Respect your mentors and fellow students and embrace your developing expertise, you'll never know enough. Never look back!"

Where did your initial interest in fitness come from?

I wanted nothing more than to educate people about the importance of wholesome, healthy living through exercise and nutrition. A few years ago I decided to take the necessary steps in turning my dreams into a career.

Why the Future Fit School of Personal Training?

I had embarked on an in-depth research into training providers and Future Fit Training had the most outstanding reputation. Their service and willingness to help me through any potential training was first class. I decided to work with them in order to achieve my Personal Training Diploma. I then went on to study the Future Fit Pre & Post Natal course as a way to further advance my knowledge and career.

My current role

I am currently spending a 3-year period in Washington DC, USA and have just received my Personal Trainer certification through the American College of Sports Medicine. I've started my own personal training business within my own studio in the city. I've been working mostly with older clients via GP referral and with pre- and post-natal women. I've attended a number of fantastic conferences, through which I have had the great opportunity to meet sports coaches and therapists with which my studio has become affiliated. As a result, I've had the added privilege of working with some younger high school and college level basketball and lacrosse players.  I've also joined a team for "Race Across America", a 9-day, 3000-mile race from Oceanside, California on the West Coast to Annapolis, Maryland on the East.  This will be my most challenging feat yet.

My future

My 5 year plan is to return to the UK and set up a similar business. Gaining international experience has been a dream come true, but I'm excited about returning to the UK to continue what is definitely the most fantastic, exciting job in the world. I will also continue to further my own education and knowledge in order to stay at the top of my game. I would love the opportunity to continue providing training within the sports industry.
