Future Fit & GLL - Better Together
Future Fit Training and GLL unite to deliver excellence as health & fitness industry award winners.
Future Fit chosen to be GLL's exclusive training provider
We recently signed a 3 year deal to deliver health & fitness training to GLL staff across its 250 sites. GLL are the UK's largest leisure provider in the UK in addition to being the UK's leading leisure social enterprise.
Our Future Fit Director and founder Rob Johnson said:
“We are delighted to be chosen by GLL and relish the opportunity to work with its staff. As the largest public leisure provider in the UK and the current ukactive Employer of the Year, GLL is a prestigious organisation to be working alongside."
The partnership means that consistent training will be delivered nationally across GLL sites to all GLL’s health and fitness staff. All the Future Fit courses will be accredited by the Chartered Institute for Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), while the nutrition courses will also be certified by the Association for Nutrition.
A perfect match for the fitness industry
A business partnership between the ukactive Active Training Awards 'Training Provider of the Year' and the 'Employer of the Year' award winners can only mean good things for the health & fitness sector and it's clients. Both our companies have a parallel approach towards providing excellence throughout our business models and we are very excited to be working together.
In Rob's words:
"As the ukactive Training Provider of the Year, we feel suitably well-matched with GLL and are looking forward to delivering our training to its staff to help them raise the bar in terms of their knowledge and training skills.”
Future Fit blended training solutions
The training will comprise a combination of onsite face-to-face training with some elements of e-learning. It is primarily aimed at fitness instructors and fitness class instructors and will include a range of subjects including nutrition and pre & postnatal training plus bespoke workshops aimed at providing further specific skills and knowledge. GLL supervisors, service managers and general managers will also be given the chance to train with Future Fit to enhance their skills and understanding.
Mac Cleves, GLL College Head, said:
“We are confident that this new and exciting partnership will improve the training provision we are able to give to our staff, while also expanding the opportunities available to our members, users and wider communities. Not only will it ensure consistency and increased quality across the organisation, but it will also enable us to diversify the training we are able to provide to our fitness instructors; equipping them with multiple skills that will allow them to deliver a more comprehensive offering to our customers.
We have been delivering bespoke corporate training solutions to leading leisure organisations for some time now, and it is proving to be the most cost-effective way for an organisation to ensure consistent and high standards of training throughout.
Working with LED Leisure and ROKO currently, has produced some great results and their inclusion in the Pro Zone - an online platform driving excellence in fitness education, allows their workforce to gain CPD training and points via online webinar training as part of a continuous educational platform. Pro Zone members can train at times that fit around their work patterns as the content is continuous, 7-days a week, and the webinars and videos are accessible after the live event.
The Pro Zone is available to individual fitness professionals and corporate groups equally. Members benefit from support, content and webinar training from a variety of inspirational fitness organisations and individuals in subject areas such as nutrition, effective communications and client retention, business skills, advanced training techniques, technology in fitness and much more.
