BlogWe encourage all our students to think about setting up their own blog. Writing a blog is a great way to articulate your thoughts as you train and learn, record your own personal journey, and share your experiences with others.

A blog features diary-type commentary and links to articles on other Web sites, usually presented as a list of entries in reverse chronological order. Blogs range from the personal to the political, and can focus on one narrow subject or a whole range of subjects.

Blogging is a useful way to demonstrate what you’ve learnt. It can help you develop your ability to apply your own thinking, and communicate opinions and insight on different topics.

Blogging provides the ideal platform to present your ideas on health and fitness to the wider community, in an engaging way.

How to setup your blog - it couldn’t be easier and it’s FREE!

There are ranges of FREE and easy to use blogging platforms you can use such as WordPress, Blogger and Tumblr

Take a look and find one that suits your needs then get blogging!

Build your professional web presence while you are learning

If you have an idea of what you will be calling your business after qualifying you can get going by using a blog to start building your businesses’ web presence whilst you are learning.

All you need is a domain name and some web hosting and you can easily install a version of WordPress on your own domain and operate your blog from there. When you qualify you have a readymade website to operate your business from.

What should you blog about?

Anything! this blog is all yours, you could write about your ambitions, fitness goals, health and exercise tips, workouts you’ve tried, recipes, sports gear you recommend etc - the sky’s the limit!

How do I get people to read my blog?

Encourage people from your own network and beyond to follow you, subscribe to your RSS feed and engage with the content you create. You can also connect and discuss and share your blog with your fellow Future Fit students, and don’t forget to make use of social media too!
