We are exceptionally proud that all of our nutrition courses and diplomas are certified by the Association for Nutrition (AfN).
The Association for Nutrition holds the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists, which is the only register of qualified nutritionists recognised by Public Health England, NHS Choices and NHS Careers.
In addition to regulating registered nutritionists, the AfN define and advance standards of evidence-based practice across the wider (non-nutritionist) field of nutrition. Their standards for the wider workforce in nutrition (in public health, catering, fitness, leisure and social care) were developed with support from Department of Health and Public Health England, and are the benchmark for nutrition competence for all who use, translate or provide nutrition information to the public. Their certification scheme recognises courses that meet their standards for the specified sector and level. It acts as a quality mark to enable students/employers to identify reputable, evidence-based courses.
The following online nutrition courses and diplomas are certified at level 4 of the Health & Social Care Competency Framework:
What this means for you:
Please note that the AfN certification scheme certifies courses, not the individuals who complete them and do not result in any AfN-recognised professional title. Completion of an AfN Certified Course does not enable registration with the AfN as a registered nutritionist.
