This workshop will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to safely and effectively teach clients a range of kettlebell exercises, including basic, intermediate and advanced lifts. Kettlebell training is a dynamic way to improve cardiovascular fitness and strength simultaneously.

Level 2 Certificate in Gym / Fitness Instructing or Aerobics. You should also be physically fit, as this is a strenuous course.

This is a two day practical workshop.


  • Background, history and benefits of training with kettlebells
  • Important health and safety considerations including contraindications
  • Instruction in kettlebell specific warm-ups and how to teach them
  • Instruction and practice of over 25 different kettlebell exercises including swings, cleans, jerks, presses, Turkish get-up and windmill
  • Remedial drills to correct poor kettlebell technique
  • How to integrate kettlebell training alongside other training methods
  • How to target specific client goals with relevant kettlebell exercises
  • An overview of kettlebell sport and competition

The tutor will perform a continual practical assessment, followed by two short practical observations during the two day workshop.

On successful completion you will receive a Future Fit School of Personal Training certificate and if you are registered with REPs, 16 CPD points. If you are CIMSPA registered, you will also receive 10 CIMSPA CPD points.
