This is a 2-day practical workshop.
Add Kettlebell training to your portfolio of skills as a personal trainer and gain a competitive edge over other instructors with our CPD certification. You will develop the skillset to approach your clients with confidence and teach them kettlebells safely and effectively.
Kettlebell training is accessible and practical for all. From the elite athlete looking for an edge, to the sedentary person looking to discover fitness for the first time. All can benefit.
This workshop will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to safely and effectively teach clients a range of kettlebell exercises, including basic, intermediate and advanced lifts. Kettlebell training is a dynamic way to improve cardiovascular fitness and strength simultaneously.
With kettlebells, a popular feature in gyms, but little understanding of how to use them properly, comprehensive training on technique and performance will give you and your clients confidence.
Learn the background and history of kettlebells, and gain insight into kettlebell sport and competition to truly appreciate the appeal of this great tool.
Our tutors have years of experience training with kettlebells themselves and teaching others how to do the same. Expect lots of practice to hone your technique on over 25 key exercises such as the Turkish-Get up, the swing and the windmill.
The workshop is designed to cater to both complete kettlebell beginners and those who are familiar with them but have done no formal training.
You should also be physically fit, as this is a strenuous course.

Launched in 2011, the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) is the professional development body for the UK’s sport, fitness and physical activity sector and has been awarded chartered status by the Privy Council. CIMSPA provides leadership, support and empowerment for professionals working in sport and physical activity and is the strategic lead for professional development in the sector.
CIMSPA has been tasked by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), backed by Sport England and employers, with leading the sport and physical activity sectors workforce development programme. This will be achieved by creating a clear and rigorous set of employer-led standards for all sport and exercise professionals, with a similar clear and rigorous system for assessment, awarding and validating qualifications.
CIMSPA is recognised as the authoritative, single unified voice for the sector by government departments, key agencies and partners, including Sport England, Public Health England, ukactive, Sport and Recreation Alliance, Sporta and cCLOA. The institute has membership options for everyone working in, or interested in working in, the sport and physical activity world – from student and apprentice through to service director and CEO. CIMSPA already provides a route to chartered status for those working in leisure operations, and is developing similar routes for the whole of the sector. For more information go to www.cimspa.co.uk.
Each individual module within your training programme has a specific deadline or time-frame of completion that must be achieved in order to pass. The aim of the deadlines are to encourage you to succeed and ensure that you become qualified. The overall deadline to complete all your courses is 3 years from when you purchased.
We would ask how much time can you dedicate to your study? The more time available, the quicker you can complete your course/diploma. If you don’t have lots of time, we advise taking it step-by-step.
I had a great time during my training. It was not easy but help was available to get me through. The practical week end sessions were invaluable. I would recommend Future Fit to anyone wanting to become a pilates instructor.

The Pilates Matwork course was detailed, practical and challenging. The course content was delivered in a variety of ways i.e. online learning and face-to-face suiting learning styles. Scott and his team were very helpful at the end of the phone/online. I was lucky enough to walk straight into a Pilates teaching job as soon as I qualified. Thank-you FutureFit!

After a lot of searching for a Training provider that offered both flexible training and credible and great teaching, I came across Future Fit. I am so glad that I decided to go with them! I have learnt an amazing amount through the online platform and face-to-face workshops and now I feel really confident going out to work with clients with a solid scientific background to my knowledge. I have also met some fantastic people through the courses and have built an amazing network of friends and contacts which is a great support as I now work for myself. If you want to be a fantastic PT then I would highly recommend doing your training with Future Fit.

Mark entered the fitness industry with an element of sheer luck. It was a series of fortune events that led him to Future Fit and the excellent knowledge of the person on the other end of the phone that persuaded him it was the job he had been waiting for…and they were right. Having learnt all the foundations to enter the industry, his life changed completely His first job was as a Gym Instructor at Virgin Active in Leeds. It was during this time he was introduced to kettlebells and fell head over heels in love with them. Mark’s career flourished from this stage on and he is now a personal trainer, educator, columnist, and author!
The key advice I would give is to never overcomplicate things unless you have too. NEVER stop learning. Eat, sleep and breath fitness and keep your fingers crossed that you are in the right place at the right time!
