Plant-based diets, including vegetarianism and veganism, have seen a dramatic increase in popularity over the past few years. In this course you will learn everything you need to know to help your vegetarian and vegan clients optimise their nutrient intake. You will also learn the answers to some key questions such as:
Does reducing or eliminating meat and animal products from our diet lead to better health and weight management?
How easy is it to achieve all of our nutrient requirements from a completely animal-free diet?
This course is suitable for anyone who gives nutrition advice as well as those wishing to study for their own interest.
The proportion of people following plant-based diets is rapidly increasing. An understanding of what these diets entail is essential in order to give appropriate nutrition advice.
You will learn about plant-based alternatives to meat and dairy products and how they can be incorporated into your client’s diet.
Having an animal-free diet can limit your client’s intake of key nutrients. This course will enable you to advise your client on alternative sources of key nutrients such as protein, vitamin B12 and calcium.
This course looks at the evidence regarding whether vegetarian and vegan diets are healthier than ones that contain meat and dairy products.

Each individual module within your training programme has a specific deadline or time-frame of completion that must be achieved in order to pass. The aim of the deadlines are to encourage you to succeed and ensure that you become qualified. The overall deadline to complete all your courses will be dependent on the courses you have purchased. Please refer back to your enrollment forms and terms and conditions to see the deadlines.
We would ask how much time can you dedicate to your study? The more time available, the quicker you can complete your course. If you don’t have lots of time, we advise taking it step-by-step.
I signed up for the Total Immersion with Future Fit and so far have completed my Level 2 & 3 as well as many CPD courses, I just have some Level 4 courses left. Upon reflection of my training so far, I'm not sure that online learning is the best way to go as you don't get the hands-on experience that you really need to build confidence and I did feel a bot lost when I first started working in the industry. However, having said that I have always been very impressed with Future Fit prompt and reliable customer service.
