We are proud to announce that Dame Kelly Holmes has chosen to study with the Future Fit School of Personal Training and has now embarked upon the Level 3 Personal Trainer Diploma.
The double Olympic gold winner has a lifelong interest in health and fitness. Since retiring from competitive sport 11 years ago, she has kept very fit and focused on her own health and recently completed the Virgin Money London Marathon in an astonishing debut time of three hours, 11 minutes.
Now Kelly is taking her interest a step further by training to become a personal trainer so she can help other people realise their health and fitness goals.
Why did Dame Kelly Holmes choose us?
Dame Kelly chose us for our in-depth courses that include face-to-face practical sessions, real-life case study work and complete sections focused on Behaviour Change and the business and soft skills that PTs need to help them progress in their career. “The Future Fit Training course looks to be incredibly thorough and will give me plenty of one-to-one support, especially when preparing for the practical assessments,” says Kelly. “I like the fact I can study online at home to fit around my other work commitments, but that there are also practical face-to-face weekend sessions where I can get advice first-hand. It’s not the quickest course on the market to complete because of the generous content and depth into which students are asked to study,” says Kelly. “However, that’s just what I’m looking for: studying and qualifying over a period of months, rather than weeks, will give me the insight and experience I need if I’m to be confident and capable.”
This course is ideal for people wanting to offer a broad scope of fitness training for individuals and groups and/or wish to be self-employed. Included in this package are the Level 2 Gym Instructor and Nutrition and Weight Management courses and a comprehensive Career Accelerator Package to get newly qualified trainers off to a flying start.
“We are delighted to welcome Kelly to Future Fit Training and she is already proving to be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable student,” says Paul Swainson, Head of the Future Fit Training School of PT. “Kelly is bringing a wealth of knowledge from her time as an elite athlete and she also has a high level of personal fitness. By combining this with the comprehensive range of skills, in-depth knowledge and experience she’ll gain from working face-to-face with our staff, I have no doubt she will emerge as a dynamic and inspiring trainer.”
