Christmas Recipe: Breakfast Granola

COOKING NOTES:


❄ This recipe will take approximately 30 minutes.


INGREDIENTS:


❄ 5 cups jumbo rolled oats

❄ 1 ½ cups wheat germ

1 cup pine nuts

1 ½ cups rough chopped pecan nuts

¼ cup Linseeds

¼ cup sesame seeds

¼ cup poppy seeds

1 ½ cups oat bran

1 cup sunflower seeds

1 cup chopped almonds

½ cup whole almonds

1 ½ cups copped Brazil nuts

2 ½ cups mixed dried fruit (sour fruits are best cherries, cranberries, goji, citrus peel)

¾ cup maple syrup

½ cup honey

½ cup grape seed oil

2 tablespoons vanilla extract

2 tablespoons cinnamon


► DIRECTIONS:


Preheat the oven to 170’C and line two large baking trays with foil or baking parchment.

❄ Combine the ingredients in a large brown and make sure all the dry ingredients are well coated. Pour onto the two baking trays, spread evenly and press down lightly

Bake until crispy and toasted (20mins). Stir once half way through

Cool completely before breaking up and putting in an airtight jar

Eat alone as a snack or with yoghurt and berries
