Christmas Recipe: Warm Apple and Cinnamon Drink

Celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve with our seasonal drink!

 

► COOKING NOTES:

 

❄ This recipe will take approximately 15 minutes.

 

► INGREDIENTS:

 

500ml fresh cloudy apple juice

1 orange cut into quarters

12 cloves

2 cardamon pods crushed

1 teaspoon honey

2 cinnamon sticks

½ teaspoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon brown sugar.

Grated nutmeg

► DIRECTIONS:

 

❄ Put
the sugar and ½ teaspoon on cinnamon onto a plate.

❄ Chop the orange into quarters and rub one of the quarters around the rim of four glasses. This quarter can then be used in the main recipe.

Roll each glass rim in the sugar and cinnamon mix to coat and set aside to dry.

Pour the apple juice into a pan and gently squeeze some of the juice from the orange quarters into the pan.

Stud the orange quarters with the cloves and add to the pan with the cardamom pods, honey and cinnamon sticks.

Heat through until warm. Serve with a little grated nutmeg on top.
