Training Manager

We are looking for individuals who have a true passion for teaching and assessing the next generation of fitness professionals. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong history of working in the fitness industry in roles such as Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor and Exercise Referral Instructor with experience of teaching and/or assessing.

Essential Requirements

A thorough knowledge of exercise and fitness qualifications is essential, as well as a proven track record in people management in a medium/large training organisation. You will need training and assessment qualifications and a detailed understanding of innovative delivery methods leading to an outstanding learner experience. Coupled with this is the ability to define and develop the quality strategy, manage the implementation of a clear quality cycle and IQA/OTL, as well as a detailed understanding of delivery of education to Ofsted requirements.

You will also have experience of working in the fitness industry with a grasp of current trends and developments within the sector.

Responsibilities

If you’re talented and dynamic and share our values of innovation, honesty, passion and excellence then this could be the position you’ve been waiting for!As our Training Manager, you will take responsibility for ensuring the delivery of innovative, commercial thinking and market leading products. You will train, develop and inspire our tutor, assessor and quality assurance teams as well as provide strong leadership skills. You will also be responsible for our tutor support team and venues. In addition, you will negotiate agreements and contracts with external partners, ensuring a great deal for Future Fit Training and our learners.

  • Work with other members of the management team to ensure the smooth running of the organisation
  • Work with members of the senior leadership team on financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning
  • Build strong relationships with external partners who directly affect the Training Team's performance
  • Negotiate agreements and contracts with external agencies to ensure the Company remains competitive at all times
  • Aim to maximise Company profit at all times, while effectively controlling expenditure
  • Leadership of the delivery team (including Tutors and Assessors, Tutor Support, Venues and Quality), ensuring delivery of an innovative suite of qualifications
  • You will be an outstanding leader with excellent communication skills and an ability to lead, develop and inspire your team
  • You will also need to achieve individual and departmental objectives and KPIs
  • You will be on top of changes in the industry
  • Set departmental monitoring strategies
  • Set departmental and individual KPIs and monitor performance

Location: Primarily home-based with some travel to Head Office in Fareham and to our satellite centres
