"Nothing is greater than making a client feel great about themselves – inside and out!"
Where did your initial interest in fitness come from?
Having been a dancer since the age of 3, I have always enjoyed keeping fit. This led me to have a strong interest in pursuing a career in the fitness industry and knew that Pilates was the right route for me.
I had practiced Pilates for a few years to strengthen my muscles after a broken ankle, and then I qualified as a Pilates Instructor in April 2008.
I love the philosophy behind the exercise form – not only does it benefit you physically but mentally too. It’s suitable for all ages, and I teach men and women from the age of 16-60!
My current role
I teach group Pilates classes at my local leisure centre and also specialise in 1-1 private sessions. What I enjoy most about being a fitness professional is the chance to help people feel better about themselves – I feel a sense of satisfaction when a client is developing and enjoying it as much as I am.
I would recommend this career to anyone who has a passion for fitness. I get to share my passion and enthusiasm for Pilates on a daily basis, and nothing is greater than making a client feel great about themselves – inside and out!
