Fit Pro Live 2014 round up
The UK’s biggest fitness convention took place at the Excel Centre in London. Paul Swainson, Head of the School of Personal Training was there to rub shoulders with the industry's finest fitness speakers, lecturers and presenters from around the world.
FitPro Live is the most attended fitness seminar with hundreds of fitness professionals in attendance sharing their knowledge and expertise to help shape the industry's future.
This year was all about breaking the rules with a new line-up of presenters, bringing all the latest cutting-edge products and services and a new venue in the heart of the capital. Everyone came together to share their knowledge and expertise to help improve and raise the standards within the industry.
Paul Swainson has highlighted the top 3 trends from the event so you can see what will be the next craze in 2014.
The top 3 themes from the weekend were:
- The importance of focusing on the client, not the process. Traditionally fitness events showcase the latest exercise system or gadget, whereas FitPro Live highlighted the need to think about the most effective ways to help clients
- The changing role of the personal trainer. No longer is it all about exercise. Changing behaviours in nutrition and lifestyle are paramount to success
- Breaking the rules – new technology, fresh approaches to business and creative ways of setting yourself apart from the competition are transforming the fitness industry
“FitPro Live was a great opportunity to hear from top industry speakers, meet some inspiring individuals and to acquire evidence into future trends in the fitness world” said Paul Swainson.
“The School of Personal Training is pleased to see these shifts in thinking within the industry and is continually developing its training to ensure it reflects the next generation’s requirements of fitness professionals.”
While we were at FitPro Live we caught up with some of our partners including The Physical Company who were busy challenging people with their pull up competition, whilst branding expert Jon Lipsey of Reward3 gave some great tips on how to stand out from the crowd.
Best-selling international author Katie Piper was the Keynote Speaker. Other celebrity guests included Richard Callender and Pete Cohen.
