The first to pass Pilates Level 3 student

Pat Baker has become the first student to pass the Future Fit Training Pilates Level 3 Award, making her amongst the highest qualified Pilates Instructors in the UK.

After starting some training briefly with other training providers Mrs Baker grew disillusioned with the level of Pilates training available.
She then came to Future Fit Training and embarked on the 2-day Pilates Improver and Advanced Modules.

Mrs Baker currently teaches her own Mat-Pilates classes in her local area in Somerset, hiring local halls and working one-to-one with local clients.

“The Pilates training with Future Fit really gave me the knowledge, confidence and skills to deliver Pilates in a class situation, this allowed me to get the further experience I needed to progress my classes”, commented Mrs Baker

These workshops provided her with the opportunity to learn additional skills and gain the knowledge, which enabled her to gain awareness of the Original Repertoire created by Joseph Pilates, and complete the Level 3 Industry Award in Mat Pilates. 

“The Workshops themselves were great fun, but also had a level of knowledge that I had never previously encountered on Pilates courses”, said Mrs Baker.

In between the progression workshops, Pat completed the units of the Level 3 Portfolio Pack - this involved putting together case studies on clients from her classes, and writing specific programmes to meet their goals, which included Pilates and basic nutrition. Mrs Baker took just under a year to complete all the relevant workbooks, build her portfolio of evidence and devise case studies.

Mrs Baker was then assessed in a live working class environment, in Somerset, and was awarded the Level 3 Pilates Qualification.

“Pat has shown she has excellent teaching skills and has worked extremely hard during her Pilates study. She has set a very high standard for not only other Future Fit Training students but other Pilates Instructors in the UK”

A delighted Mrs Baker added,

“Future Fit have allowed me to achieve the highest qualification available currently in the UK, which has opened a range of opportunities for me as a Pilates Teacher. I’m really pleased to have passed and grateful to Future Fit for helping through all my training”

Mrs Baker is now hoping to use her training and qualification teaching further advanced Pilates classes in Somerset and for her own well-being.  Her final words were;

“I would say to anyone out there in the fitness industry, keep learning, keep achieving and follow your dreams, it is so worthwhile!”
