A progression on from the Pilates
Fundamentals Module, this
Workshop involves many more
exercises at improver and
intermediate level. It introduces the
use of stability balls and resistance
bands into structured Pilates
sessions.
Aims & benefits
This Workshop will cover further mat
exercises, stretches, and enable you
to achieve the knowledge and skills
to incorporate the stability ball and
resistance band into your existing
Pilates classes. The Workshop will
also provide the theory behind
neutral alignment and good posture.

Two-day Practical Workshop.
Who should take this Module?
Any Pilates Teacher wanting to learn higher level mat exercises and gain knowledge of how to incorporate equipment into their existing classes to add intensity and variety.
Module content
- New ideas for warm ups -
standing and lying
- Improver/intermediate level Mat
Pilates exercises
- Linking exercises to create
effective sequences to intensify
and add variety to your current
sessions
- Techniques on how to modify,
adapt and progress each exercise
to suit individual needs
- Common postural types and
exercises/stretches to assist in
muscle balance aiding in the
improvement of posture
- The use of resistance bands -
adding intensity to Pilates mat
work exercises to lengthen and
strengthen the muscles of the
arms, legs and torso
- The use of stability balls -
challenging balance and the
deep core muscles with a series
of basic Pilates based exercises
and stretches on a ball
Entry requirements
All participants must have a Fundamentals Pilates (Mat Work) Qualification.
Certification and credits (REPs)
A Future Fit Training Mat Pilates
Improver Level Certificate is issued
on completion of the Workshop.
You will also receive 16 REPs CPD
points.
