Course Format

This online series of courses is formatted into bite-sized lessons giving you the opportunity to start and stop your training to suit your needs.

 
Course Content

The online series is split into 3 courses, content for each as follows:

Course 1: Assessing muscular fitness

  • Assessment (test) selection and preparation
  • Assessments of muscular fitness


Course 2: Techniques

  • The theory and application of advanced training techniques to increase muscle strength, power, endurance and size
  • Advanced training techniques


Course 3: Exercise prescription

  • How to conduct a needs analysis
  • Programme design for muscular strength, power, endurance, hypertrophy and power-endurance
  • Periodisation models and their application

All three of these e-learning courses are made available to you from the outset for you to study in your own time and at your own pace. They contain a mix of media and interactivity, including video, so you can learn efficiently and respond to the increasing demand for this method of training.

Entry Requirements

A Level 3 award in Personal Training or Advanced Instructing.

Assessment

There are ongoing online activities and learning assessments as you work through the courses to test your understanding of the subject.

Certification and Credits

You’ll receive a Future Fit Training Advanced Resistance Training Certificate and 4 CPD points for each of the 3 courses within the series.
