Course Introduction

Circuit training is a high powered and effective way of training clients individually or in groups to improve their cardiovascular and all round muscular fitness. This training course gives you the ability to create circuit training sessions that can be used with personal training customers or exercise classes in the home, in a studio or any other designated venue.

Course Format

This course is delivered as a one-day practical workshop.

Course Content

The course covers:

  • Health and safety guidelines
  • Designing appropriate warm-ups and cool-downs
  • Designing a range of circuit class formats
  • Identifying and instructing appropriate cardiovascular exercises for circuit classes
  • Identifying and instructing appropriate muscular strength and endurance exercises for circuit classes
  • Class management and teaching skills
  • Application of the principles of overload
Entry Requirements

A Level 2 Exercise to Music or Gym Instructor qualification must have been undertaken before you can commence this course.

Assessment

None Required.

Certification and Credits

After completing this workshop you will be awarded the Future Fit Training Circuit Training Certificate.

You will also receive 10 REPs CPD points.
