Personal Training is one of the fastest growing professions in the UK and will continue to be so over the next 8 years according to the City & Guilds Future Earnings Report 2006. Pay rise rates for most professions normally increase in line with inflation, which is around 2.5-3.5%. Personal Trainers look at an average rise in salary/fees of around 10%.

As an employed Personal Trainer you can expect to earn in the region of £30,000 per year and as a self-employed Personal Trainer you could charge anything from £20 to £50 per hour. High profile Personal Trainers have been known to charge anything from £50 to £100 per hour.
