The course more than covers all the theory to meet the requirements of the Gym Instructor or Exercise to Music Award. The online lessons are designed to be interactive and you will perform activities and test questions throughout so that you can check your own knowledge and understanding during your study. The great advantage of this e-learning method over classroom instruction is that you are much more likely to retain what you have learnt as you can re-visit certain lessons and chapters as many times as you like. During the course, you complete assignments and mock exams, and you will receive your results back instantly.
The course consists of 5 online chapters containing bite-size lessons. Each chapter contains an assignment and there are 2 practice mock exams at the end of the online lessons. You should allow approximately 12 weeks for the completion of your study, prior to attending the Gym Instructor workshop.
The course consists of fully interactive online tutorials, supported by downloadable resources, all designed to suit a wide range of learning styles. It is recommended that your computer has access to audio and a printer, but the course can be completed in its entirety without.
